A Pear's Story: How to Wear Red Skinny Ankle Pants

  It's been awhile since I owned a pair of colored  pants. As an artist I love color, but after high school I gave all my colored jeans to Goodwill and opted to wear more dark colored pants. My body was changing and back then I was very self-conscience about my full hips.

 I had an epiphany almost ten years later when I started looking at pictures of celebrities like Beyonce' or Kim Kardashian and realized that they have wide hips too, and they look great!

   This fall I decided to embrace my love of color by diving into this season's trend and reintroducing myself to colored pants. I decided to try a red pair of  Alfani Skinny Seamed Riding Pants in hopes that the  lack of pockets and vertical seaming would have a slimming effect.  I was able to order my true size instead of going up a size like I normally do with skinny pants. So far, I'm impressed with the quality. The fabric has a nice weight and I love the way they fall around the ankle. These pants don't have a belt loop so I'm going to have my tailor take them in a bit at the waist, but overall my only regret is that I didn't order the green ones before they sold out of my size! Yes, I think I'm now fully ready to rebuild my colored pants wardrobe!
