Fashion magazines and stylists hail nude shoes as a great way to make your legs look long and lean. Ideally, the shoe should blend into the leg so that one can not tell where the shoe begins; giving the leg an elongated appearance This works wonderfully for lighter skin tones because the coloring of a nude shoe tends to lean toward blush or beige. For darker skin tones, a "nude" shoe doesn't come close to the skin tone and the effect is lost. For this tip to work, it's important to avoid the shoe color labeled as "nude", and find a shoe that is close to your skin tone.
My go to "nude" shoe is
Zigi's Landing, which is actually a tan shoe that is similar to my skin color. Tan, caramel, cognac, bronze, and some even some browns are great starting point colors for women of color searching for the perfect "nude" shoe. Here are some of my picks for "nude" pumps for darker skin tones.
I totally agree with your post. Thanks for the recommendations for WOC. It's been difficult finding the right nude pumps for my skin tone
