Hello lovelies!! I'm sorry I've been MIA this past week; I took a Thanksgiving week cruise with my family and it's been hard getting back in the swing of things. My body has returned to work, but I think my mind is still on a beach in Mexico!:) It was great to get away and do something different. The weather was lovely in Cozumel and Costa Maya; and though a bit rainy in Belize and Roatan, we still managed to have a great time learning about the local culture.
Packing was a bit confusing because though it's chilly here in the states, we weren't sure what type of weather to expect on the water, or when we arrived at each port. I decided to bring mostly ankle pants and light long sleeve tops to mill about the boat in to make sure I was comfortable and warm. I decided against jeans because they are heavy and take a up a lot of space in a suitcase. For evenings I opted to pack "resort casual" attire that could go from a nice sit down dinner or buffet, to a show while still keeping comfort in mind. My husband and I each had one suit case each with all of our clothing, pj's, shoes, and underclothing. One extra bag held our toiletries and our steamer. We were pretty proud of ourselves because we felt had everything we needed without over packing.
Check out some of my cruise looks below!
Embarkation: It was cold and windy when we left port.
I bundled up in several knit layers, and planned on changing for dinner later that evening.
Dressed for Dinner: It was still chilly on deck, but I couldn't wait to shed the layers for a flowy maxi dress.

On Board: Dinner and a Show.
I found this outfit at my local Ross Dress for Less. Harem Pants (Juniors): $11.99 High Low Tank (Juniors): $12.99 Can you believe it included the jeweled necklace as well??? Madden Girl Dafney |
The Remix: These pants did double duty when I wore them again for a beach break in Costa Maya. I paired them with a black Jennifer Lopez 1/4-Zip Mixed Media Top. I liked this top so much I purchased it in two colors! (*See the gray version above if you missed it.)
Excursion Time:
Heading out for the Calypso Train Tour in Belieze.
Can't forget the cropped jean jacket to ward off the chilly air as we were tendered into port.
Wooden Necklace Purchased in Cozumel
On Board Date Night:
Though we traveled with our family, my hubby and I decided make reservations
at one of the ship's fine dining restaurants and have a date night. We followed that with a couple's game show in one of the lounges.

I think my husband was having a M.J. Moment. :)
Thanksgiving Dinner: Our family made reservations at one of the ships restaurants to make sure that the six of us could have a nice Thanksgiving Dinner together. After dinner we took formal pictures and then headed to the lounge for some entertainment.
Hanging out with my handsome hubby. :)
