Essence Music Festival in NOLA always features awesome day sessions with inspiring speakers and expert panelist who discuss current issues pertaining to the African-American community, education, health, wellness, politics, self-improvement, and empowerment. This year was no exception. I spent a relaxing Saturday with one of my besties enjoying some girl time, including lunch, a little shopping, and a day at the festival. As a fan of the show Iyanla Fix My Life on the OWN network, I was most excited to hear Ms. Iyanla Vanzant speak about creating a new vision for your life. Check out her Essence Empowerment session 2014 here and be inspired!
My look for the day was a casual LWD (Little White Dress)
that kept me cool and comfortable while still looking pulled together. Leopard wedges added a touch of pattern and height, while gold jewelry accents and
warm neutral makeup added just enough shine to complete the look.
