In celebration of the sophisticated urban chic vibe of New York City, designer Elie Tahari has created a collection available exclusively at Kohl's s and Kohls.com on September 26, 2014.
I'm a big fan of Kohl's DesigNation collaborations and have quite a few pieces from the DesignNation collaborations with Catherine Malandrino, Narcisco Rodriguez, and Derek Lam. Kohl's latest summer collab with Peter Som didn't really speak to me, and as much as I wanted to get something, I didn't really see any pieces I HAD to have; not even when the collection began to drop down to clearance prices. No worries, I figured the Fall DesigNation collection would come back with a bang.
I am actually a fan of Tahari, so I have repeatedly browsed the lookbook for this collection thinking perhaps I'm overlooking the one or two pieces that will have me so infatuated that I might actually consider paying full price for them. I keep clicking on pictures of the Tahari models remembering the excitement I felt looking at last year's Catherine Malandrino Lookbook for DesigNation. Dare I say that I'm not feeling this new collection from Elie Tahari? Though the overall feel definitely fits the relaxed vibe of Fall 2014 fashion trends, nothing is a real standout to me. A few pieces could be the foundation for a great outfit, like the suede leggings or the zip front black dress, but truth be told, I'm actually feeling Elle's Limited Edition Runway Collection for Kohl's a whole lot more.
