Old Clothes
Bringing old fashion back to life is so popular at the minute. As long as it’s not too small, or ruined completely, an old top can be transformed into something fabulous simply by adding a piece of jewelry. Sometimes an outfit just needs a little bit of sparkle to give it that POP! If it’s a black top, try shopping around for an affordable bold gold or silver necklace; depending on the rest of your outfit. If you want to get really creative, transform an old dress into something new. You will need a sewing kit for this, but it’ll be worth it in the end. Say for example you have a long sleeved, knee length dress from a couple of years ago; start by either making the sleeves three quarters, or completely removing them. Fold the cut edges in and sew to give it a finished look. Then cut from knee length to your preferred height, and once again sew to secure and neaten the edges. Then you’ll have an old dress transformed into a new trendy nightwear dress. For more inspiration, check out this post https://www.buzzfeed.com
Shop Around
Shopping around is so important. It’s really common for people to see something they’ll like, and buy it straight away. But it is often found that high street shops have expensive price tags, whereas smaller brands will offer the same product at a lower price. Don’t always just settle for the first thing you see, you could save a lot of money. It’s not just clothes that bargains can be found for, shop around for jewelry as well. Check out reviews such as http://yourdiamondguru.com/reviews/james-allen/, to see how good the product is, and do you research on where you’ll find it cheapest. Try looking online as well. There are so many independent cheaper online shops such as Boohoo, that offer the same fashion trends as other brands, but at a much cheaper price.
Charity Shops
Charity shops are hidden gold mines. In the past, many young people associated their local thrift stores as places with junk, or clothes for old people. Instead, think of it as a fun way to spend a few hours and possibly happen upon a great fashion find. Some people rid their closets of good quality, high end, brand clothing, purely because it doesn’t fit any more. So you could walk away with something that’s cost you next to nothing, but cost the previous owner big bucks. There’s some really quirky and unique fashion to be found in charity shops, if you take a trip to one it’ll definitely surprise you.
